Taiwanese media outlets are reporting that a fire has occurred at Taipei’s Q Square shopping mall in the afternoon, with videos on social media showing a plume of smoke rising above the building. No casualties have been reported, and 202 visitors have been evacuated from the burning building.

The latest reports from Apple Daily state that the fire originated in the Palais de Chine Hotel.

The Police and Fire Departments dispatched 15 water tank trucks, two aerial ladder trucks, and three ambulances to the site to put out the fire, Central News Agency reports. 55 relief workers were on site, too.

CNA reports the Taipei City Fire Department designated the accident as a “Level 3 fire,” which the department defines as a fire that could cause deaths or leave more than three people severely injured.

Q Square houses the Taipei Bus Station and is connected to Taipei Main Station, which averages more than 500,000 daily visitors.
