Developer working on 200 new homes in Wadebridge Cornwall

A developer has said it is set to launch a new development of more than 200 homes in Cornwall.

Vistry Group, which builds Bovis and Linden properties, is currently working on the housing project, known as ‘The Cornish Quarter’. on the site of four former farm fields in Wadebridge.

The new development of 203 properties, located off Higher Trenant Road and Green Hill, will consist of a two to five-bedroom properties, as well as areas of open space and a play park.

Vistry said 61 of the homes would be designated as affordable housing, with the majority of the total built being two storey.

Pete Castley, area sales and marketing director, said: “We started work on site in September and the development is already taking shape. We will be releasing the first Bovis homes for sale imminently and hope to have the first properties completed this summer.”

Vestry, which recently worked on the Trenant Gardens in Wadebridge, added that its latest development in the area would support the local community by contributing almost £1m towards education, highways and off-site open space.
