"Not only was she the sweetest daughter and sister, best auntie and most loving partner, Emily was a beautiful person and she will be dearly missed. We will inform you in regards to paying respects to her in the near future."

Emily was managed by McCarthy Graham Management and graduated from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). She had performed in various productions over the last nine years.

She was cast as the Understudy to Sabrina Aloueche and Maiya Quansah-Breed in Cases at the Other Palace, but due to covid the show wasn’t mounted. She was Hammond Poetry Prize Winner in 2018 and also received a William Newsom Scholarship.

A spokesperson from McCarthy Graham Management said: "It is with deep sadness that we have to announce the passing of our dear client, Emily Chesterton (1992-2022). Our thoughts are with her family, her partner - Keoni and all her friends.

"A bright light has gone out at McCarthy Graham Management today. RIP lovely."

"Emily was talented beyond words. She was beautiful, intelligent and one of the most thoughtful people I’ve ever met. I’m in complete shock as are my family.

"Emily loved to nurture people younger or less experienced than her. She was truly beautiful inside and out. I can’t imagine the pain her family is feeling right now. This is the biggest loss for everyone who ever knew her. Emily, you will always be loved Xxx"

Miles Braithwaite: "So saddened to hear this news. Emily had a rare quality and energy about her. In university, I was spellbound by her on multiple occasions, both for being a beautiful soul, both inside and out, and having the most incredible voice and honesty on stage. I will remember her that way. My thoughts are with all of her friends and family."

Fiona Darling said: "This is such a shock and such sad news. I hadn't seen Emily in years until I bumped into her in July in her work near where we both live, she was so kind - it was my birthday and she treated me to coffee and cake. She was always so so lovely, and so talented too. Sending love to all of her family and friends in what must be such a difficult time."
