Matthew Judon may have put his foot in his mouth. The New England Patriots linebacker has played the role of social-media ambassador for the team. He tried recruiting free agents and potential trade targets. And whenever Bill Belichick made a signing, Judon reached out to extend a warm welcome.
Judon gave receiver DeVante Parker a shoutout after the Patriots agreed to terms on a trade for him this weekend. Judon told Parker: “If you need anything let me know.” And Parker made his request.
“What about that 9 tho?” Parker wrote on Twitter on Monday.
Judon’s jersey number is nine for the Patriots. Parker, who wore No. 11 with the Dolphins, wore No. 9 for the Louisville Cardinals.
I’m glad you said that. What about that 9 tho 😂😂

The team doesn’t have anyone wearing No. 11. So that seems like the number Parker will likely wear when joining the Patriots — unless Judon is feeling extremely generous.
