Desperate search to trace Scots pensioner who vanished overnight

Police have launched a desperate search for a Scots pensioner who has been missing overnight.

George Elliott, from Dumbarton, was last seen at around 10.30pm last night in the Latta Street area of the town.

The 78-year-old is described as being 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, and bald.

When last seen he was likely to be wearing a dark green bodywarmer, grey tracksuit bottoms, and black trainers.

Inspector Andrew Barron said: “We’re growing increasingly concerned for George’s welfare and I’m appealing for anyone who has information on his whereabouts to get in touch.

“George was last in the Latta Street area of Dumbarton and I’d ask that members of the public report any possible sightings of him in the nearby area via 101 quoting 0888 of May 7, 2023.”
