DeSantis Campaign Confident in Iowa Caucus Results, Expects to Exceed Expectations

Iowa comes first, and Team DeSantis is ready to go.

In the race for the Republican nomination, all eyes are on Iowa as the first state to hold its caucus. And in true creative fashion, the campaign manager for candidate DeSantis, James Oethmeyer, spoke with an air of excitement and confidence about their prospects.

Oethmeyer emphasized the importance of the ground game and highlighted the efforts made by Team DeSantis to secure grassroots support. With a strong network of county chairs, precinct captains, and over 1,500 designated speakers, their goal is to get the committed voters out in full force even in icy and below-freezing conditions.

When asked about their expectations for Iowa, Oethmeyer countered the media's predictions of a landslide victory for their opponents, stating that Team DeSantis was ready to exceed those expectations. He confidently asserted that their hard work and preparation would yield very positive results come caucus night.

The conversation then shifted to the Super PAC's role in the ground operation. Oethmeyer expressed unwavering certainty that the efforts from the Super PAC side would translate into success on caucus night. He noted that after spending weeks in Iowa, he could personally witness the dedication and commitment of the team, debunking any doubts about their capability.

As the interview delved into the potential challenges beyond Iowa, Oethmeyer acknowledged the criticism regarding their visibility in New Hampshire and South Carolina. However, he dismissed concerns by pointing out the late-breaking nature of New Hampshire and the significant grassroots support garnered in the state. Oethmeyer underlined that the results in Iowa would undoubtedly shape the direction of New Hampshire.

Regarding the allegation that DeSantis had invested too heavily in Iowa, Oethmeyer reasoned that New Hampshire valued results, and with DeSantis's proven track record as governor of Florida, he believed that voters in the Granite State would recognize his ability to deliver on promises. He dismissed Nikki Haley's criticism by highlighting her lack of conservative credentials and reminding voters of DeSantis's steadfast conservative achievements.

While recent polls have shown Trump dominating among identified conservatives in New Hampshire, Oethmeyer remained undeterred. He emphasized that DeSantis's appeal extended beyond those who wanted to move on from Trump, ultimately positioning him as the unifying candidate who could bridge the gap between different factions within the party.

With a long road ahead, Oethmeyer acknowledged that the journey to the nomination was far from over. He encouraged voters to exercise their right to vote and signaled a clear determination to push beyond the talking points and let the voters decide the outcome through their actions.

As the campaign heats up, it's clear that Team DeSantis is ready to tackle every challenge, armed with a strong ground game, a dedicated network of supporters, and a resilient belief in their candidate's ability to deliver results.
