After two rounds of the Allianz Football League both Derry and Meath have two wins from two and neither side will want to lose momentum when they go head-to-head on Saturday evening.
Dublin are the only other side in Division Two with a 100 per cent record and there’s a strong chance that Dessie Farrell’s side will snag one of the two promotion berths.
That means there’s little room for error for the remaining sides in the division and Ulster champions Derry will be keen to maximise their return from their home games - especially with the Dubs coming to Celtic Park next month.
Rory Gallagher’s men eased past Limerick in Owenbeg in their League opener, but only had three points to spare against Mickey Harte’s Louth last time out.
Meath have beaten Cork and Clare in their opening two games under new manager Colm O’Rourke and the Royals will be hoping to build on their encouraging start to 2023.
