For many families, finding a suitable Halloween event, especially for younger kids, can be difficult.
Across the weekend of Derry Halloween, there will be many family-friendly events taking placed, and events specialised for young children.

Here is your guide to some of the family-friendly events taking place this Halloween:
Da Vinci's Hotel will be hosting a special all-inclusive event on Monday October 31 from 12pm until 3pm. This event will create a calm and suitable environment tailored to kids with additional needs who may find Halloween a bit overwhelming. Details and contact to book tickets can be found here.
Taking place at Café Columbia at Café in the Park, 4 Limavady Rd in the Waterside on Friday October 28 from 1.30pm until 3.00pm. Kids can search for ghost pictures in the park, bring the pictures they find to the café and get a free kid’s hot chocolate!
The Trials and Tribulations of Winifred The Witch
Winifred has been soaking up the Derry Halloween fame and has been giving away all the otherworldly secrets… all for fame and glory. Join the spook council as they uncover the truth about Winifred. Multiple shows will be taking place in the Guildhall from October 29-31. Tickets can be booked here.
Spooky Halloween funfair with all your favourite attractions for all the family, enjoy panoramic views of the city from the Big wheel and get into the Halloween spirit on the ghost train
The Curiosity Club at Void gets spooky on Saturday 29th October from 12-4pm, as we invite families to come along and make Halloween inspired crafts!
No need for booking, just pop along to Void at 10 Waterloo Place.
Kids Halloween Party at Da Vincis
On Saturday October 29, Da Vincis are hosting a Kids Halloween Party with toffee apple making, pumpkin painting, face painting and a Halloween Disco. There will be fun games, prizes and trick or treat bags. To book your tickets, ask at Reception or call 028 71 279 111.
Look for the items hidden on the Walls and count them. The come back to Nine Hostages to chat about what you found, enjoy some storytelling and get a yummy meal and a hot chocolate! Visit facebook.com/9inehostagescoffeederry for times.
Families are welcome to come down to the monster-making workshop at CCA in Pump Street from 6pm–8pm, Friday October 28 and 1pm–4pm Saturday October 29. No booking is necessary for this free workshop.
Foyleside Shopping Centre will be joining in the Halloween celebrations with the return of 'Foyleside Frights'.
Taking place across three weekends in October (15 - 16, 22 - 23, 28 – 31) these events will be filled with freaky festivities that reflect the history, heritage and spirit of the city by bringing families together for a series of spooktacular experiences within the centre.
Kids Halloween at Central Library
Throughout the weekend, Derry's central library are hosting a number of events such as Rhythm and Rhyme Time, Storytelling, Lego Club and Halloween Craft Session. Times can be found here.
