Derry Girls returned last night as the final season continues to thrill viewers with its hilariously Irish humour.
The latest instalment in season three had fans emotional as sparks flew between Erin and James.
The episode saw the whole group head off to help Sister Michael clear out her aunt's house after her tragic death.
Disaster struck when James passed out and had to be carried by the girls into the home that they soon realised had no electricity or heat.
After a creepy night in the old house, James confessed his feelings for Erin, and they kissed - but were caught by a fuming Michelle who forbids them from seeing each other.
At that moment, viewers were taking to Twitter in droves to say they were “bawling” with joy that James and Erin had finally got together.
One viewer tweeted saying: "The moment I’ve been waiting for since the prom has finally happened and I literally squealed #DerryGirls.
"Forever a romantic deep down."
Meanwhile, a second viewer wrote: “Don’t think I’ll ever get over the jerin kiss ahhh.”
Another said: “Listen, I know we can’t agree on much these days, but by god we were all cheering James on there weren’t we?”
A fourth said: “The plot line we’ve all been waiting for…but never saw coming. I am crying.”
Among the thousands of tweets, a final viewer said: "James and erin absolutely melting my heart tonight. I am Balling.”
