Fans have praised Derry Girls actor Siobhan McSweeney after she clapped back at a 'disappointed' viewer of The Great Pottery Throw Down following her return to the screen.
Siobhan had been missing from her role as presenter due to an injury and returned on Sunday nights episode.
After breaking her leg whilst filming a new TV series, 'Holding' in Cork, she was forced to sit the first couple of episodes out and was replaced by comedian Ellie Taylor.
Speaking about her injury, Siobhan said: "6 months ago I suffered an awful injury. Don't remember much because of the pain I was in. But I've been reminded of this. A month later convalescing n hiiiiigh. Sorry @wetlegband ;) I'm really proud of what I've done in this time. Not least this."
She added: "It takes a village?
"It took me several cities and countries and extraordinary people who knew how much I wanted and needed to get back to work and made that happen. Essentially what I'm trying to say is..
"I'm so happy to be back on your telly. Thank you. Please keep watching. I love you."
However, one viewer was left less than impressed to see Siobhan back on his screen as he tweeted the actor saying he was disappointed to see her back and believed Ellie should have permanently been given the job.
Replying to the tweet, Siobhan responded with her usual humorous tone.
She said: "I bet you were gutted Tractor Lad. I really am an awful presenter. Im sorry but its gonna be my mug you are going to have to bear for the next few episodes.Hope you get the support and help you need at this dissapointing time. Lots of love. Xxx"
The critic then deleted his account after fans rallied around Siobhan to show their support.
One wrote: "I'd hope that next season the budget can stretch to having the both of you on, your chemistry was fun".
"Good to have you back Siobhan, you and Ellie are both brilliant. No need to choose or be negative. Tractor man be a better person," a second said.
While a third said: "Was so glad to see you back Siobhán! My boyfriend and I actually cheered when you appeared on the screen! Looking forward to seeing you for these last few episodes
You are both amazing, but your humour gives you the edge, big laughs from me last night."
