A feral cat killing shrews, William Wallace as a drag queen, and most importantly, the GCSE results for the students.
But there was one surprise appearance from a legendary Northern Irish actor that left fans stunned.
Liam Neeson popped up as a cop interrogating the gang after they sort-of-accidentally helped two men rob the school.
Which led to an incredulous reaction on social media.
"LIAM EFFING NEESON!" said one, "Was not expecting that!" added a second.
A third wrote: "NO WAY THAT'S LIAM NEESON!" and a fourth claimed: "Best guest star/cameo since Bruce Willis in Friends. I yelped!"
"Liam Neeson?! Have i been living under a rock? Was that well known or the best casting secret in the world?!" laughed another.
While other fans were delighted with the continuation of the brilliant soundtracks we've seen in the first two seasons.
One person wrote: "10 mins in to the new series of the Derry Girls and already the soundtrack is perfection."
"Part 1 Highlights - Old Tayto crisp packet ; Xtravision shop attention to detail; the banging tunes ; And Mo Mowlam on the telly" noted a second.
