Derry Girls creator Lisa McGee warns fans of change to start time for tonight's episode on Channel 4

Episode three of the final season of Derry Girls is due to air at an earlier time tonight on Channel 4.

Fans of the show can tune it at 9:00 pm instead of 9:30 pm as the Quinns excitedly prepare for their annual trip to Barry's amusement park in Portrush.

A blurb for tonight’s episode reads: “Surely an unfeasible amount of sandwiches and a massive surfboard is all they could need?

“Well, that and everyone making the train”

The show’s creator, Lisa McGee took to Twitter this afternoon to confirm: “Derry Girls is at the earlier time of 9pm tonight on C4.

“This episode features two of the stupidest track placements in the history of the show.

“It’s called ‘ Stranger on a train ‘ I hope you enjoy it #DerryGirls.”

Fans have been hailing the show since the new season aired with one person branding it “insanely good,” on Twitter, while another said: ”Derry Girls is so class I'm so glad they made a season three.”

After last week’s episode, praise for the show was flooding in with one viewer writing: “#DerryGirls such a fantastic episode!!!! @JamieLeeOD has some moves on her as Scary!! Unreal xx Season three is superb so far.”

Another wrote: “That Father Ted reference in #DerryGirls — if it was, indeed, an intentional reference — was pure genius. Season three tracking to be exquisite.”

A third person wrote: “Why is Derry Girls actually the fastest 30 minutes of my week? So good.”
