Derry City being linked with a move for Scottish striker

Derry City are being linked with a move for former Dundee and Partick Thistle striker Danny Mullen.

Ruaidhri Higgins is looking to boost their attacking options with the 28-year-old high on the list following his departure from the Jags in the summer.

Mullen, who also played for The former Livingston and St Mirren, is reported to be in Ireland just now.

The Candystripes are six points off league leaders Shamrock Rovers with 24 games played.

If Mullen does make the move to the Brandywell he would join a strong Scottish contingent already at the club.

They have recently dipped into the Scottish market to sign winger Paul McMullan after his release from Dundee and they also have ex-Dundee United captain Mark Connolly in their ranks.

Derry are due to play HB Torshavn next week in the qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.
