A Derry singer and songwriter is getting ready to perform in a Derry 'cost of living special' free gig after a hiatus of 5 years.
GRIM17 is playing in Bennigans with special guest Hutch on Friday December 2. Entry is free to help customers with the cost-of-living crisis.
This upcoming gig is to celebrate the release of GRIM17's new album Messing With Your Faith, which was released via Lights and Lines records on November 4.

Speaking to MyDerry, Laurence McDaid aka GRIM17 spoke about returning to the stage after his hiatus.
Laurence said: "Well, this will be only my second time performing as Grim in over six years, and I'm still grappling with a new set-up since my poor, long suffering laptop went to the great technology hub in the sky.
"But, if worst comes to worst, the crazy acapella songs I make up for my three-year-old son on the spot always seem to go down to much acclaim, so I'm sure it'll be grand!"
After briefly working with artists like Tom Middleton and Neil Cowley Trio, GRIM17 went on to appear on Ireland's leading Music TV show Other Voices, and was tipped by the Daily Mirror as ‘One To Watch’ in 2014, before his break away from music.
Laurence said: "If a five-year hiatus wasn’t punk enough for you, GRIM17 then came back with a bang in 2020 while the rest of the world fell to its knees, releasing 2 brand new albums independently, bringing popular and critical acclaim to his work once again, as well as, a stand-alone single and another album in 2021 PLUS a new album, Messing With Your Faith out now!"
Since returning to music during the pandemic, GRIM17 has been signed to Lights and Lines.
