Washington Redskins fans have waited over 365 days to watch second-year running back Derrius Guice return to the playing field. On Thursday night, they finally got their wish.
In the first offensive series of the night for Washington, Guice stepped onto the field in the RB1 roll and did not disappoint. The back out of LSU popped off two nice runs on the drive, the first one going for seven yards, and the second for nine yards. He even showed a nice ability to cut side-to-side, which was a big question mark after rehab.
If Guice keeps looking this healthy and dynamic, it could be a fun season for the Redskins.
Note: Jordan Reed, Paul Richardson Jr., and Terry McLaurin all were on the field for the Redskins during their first drive.
