The Golden State Warriors won their third straight game with an impressive win over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday (Dec. 19.) Boston came into the game boasting a 20-5 record and had been earning praise for being one of the best teams in the NBA over the first quarter of the season. However, the Warriors always seem to raise their game against the Eastern Conference contenders.
After forcing overtime courtesy of some gritty play on both ends of the floor, Steph Curry added another highlight moment to his career, hitting a rainbow three-point shot in the dying seconds of the game to seal the win for his team. Following the contest, Celtics guard Derrick White praised Curry and what he’s achieved throughout his career.
“He’s the greatest shooter of all time,” White said. “You give him a good look at the rim or even any look at the rim…We’ve seen it for a while now. Nothing really surprises you. That split hesitation cost us that three right there. They’re a great team. When you play against great teams, it’s always going to come down to those little things. He’s a lot of fun to play against.”
Curry ended the game against Boston with 33 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds, shooting 52.4% from the field and 54.5% from 3-point range. His incredible performance came directly after a tough offensive game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
“He’s the greatest shooter of all time … nothing really surprises you [with Steph].”
