The Baltimore Ravens added a dynamic rushing threat to their offense in running back Derrick Henry. The veteran spent the first eight years of his career with the Tennessee Titans but is starting a new beginning in Baltimore.
Henry is a historic figure in Titans history, but he made it clear that he is excited for his new start and different era with the Ravens. He said he’s embracing his opportunity and putting in work, hoping to showcase his skills and ability when it’s time to do so.
“It’s a new start. But like you said, I’ve been coming in since OTAs [Organized Team Activities], and I’m excited for the opportunity. It’s a different era for me. I’m just excited for everything, embracing it every day and putting the work in so I can showcase it when it’s time.”
Henry has the potential to be a real difference-maker in Baltimore’s offense, especially if he and quarterback Lamar Jackson can get on the same page quickly. The two have skillsets that complement each other best and, if used correctly in tandem, could cause nightmares for opposing defenses every week.
