Dermot O’Leary surprised Alison Hammond live-on air by presenting her with an award on This Morning.
The 49 year old interrupted Alison, before they continued the show to bring out a framed certificate for a presenting award that she had won.
Alison looked confused as Dermot broke from the teleprompter, and said: "We've got a bit of a surprise for you Alison Hammond."
She looked nervously at Dermot with a smile as she said: "What are you doing?"

Dermot added that despite not beating ITV presenters Ant and Dec at the National Television Awards – as the duo notoriously rack up all the awards – she did for this accolade.
"It was very sad, a weird celebratory moment where you lost out to Ant and Dec at the NTAs," Dermot said.
Dermot walked behind one of the many Christmas trees to pull out a framed award and continued: "Well you've actually, interesting, beaten them and won the best loved presenter at the Entertainment Daily awards!"

As he presented Alison with the award she said: "Are you actually joking?"
The crew burst into cheers and clapped for Alison as she looked delighted by the happy news, as confetti appeared digitally on-screen.
Dermot joked: "I had to ask that [them to cheer] for the crew, as they work on Saturday Night Takeaway too."

Alison beamed as she took in the surprising win, but was still slightly confused and overwhelmed by the situation, as she asked: "Who's Ed?"
Dermot clarified it was the publication name and said: "Entertainment Daily. It's just a guy called Ed."
Alison laughed at her own mistakes, before she said in disbelief: "I didn't know this was happening today, where are we going to put that? What a treat, thank you!
