Dermot Kennedy poses with Dublin Fire Brigade members in Boston for St Patrick's Day celebrations

Dermot Kennedy was happy to be 'Outnumbered' by his fans from Dublin Fire Brigade as they celebrated St Patrick's Day in Boston.

Taking to social media, Dublin Fire Brigade shared the brilliant pic of the Rathcoole native with members of D Watch, who had travelled to Boston in the US to take part in the St Patrick's Day parade, alongside their colleagues from the Boca Raton Fire Rescue. Dublin Fire Brigade commented: "Dermot Kennedy found himself "Outnumbered" when he met D Watch in Boston on St Patrick's Day."

The 'Kiss Me' singer was in Boston during the festivities, and his fans fans flocked to a popular Irish pub in Boston for a special St Patrick's Day performance from the star. Dermot played a free gig for fans in Emmet's in Boston as the city turned green as part of its annual St Patrick's celebrations, and he also performed in The Dubliner with large crowds queuing up outside to catch a glimpse of the singer.

In a post on Twitter, Dermot thanked Boston for giving him a wonderful welcome. He wrote: "Boston, thank you so much for a day I’ll never ever forget.

"The amount of people, everyone’s energy, it was just a really really beautiful day and something that will live long in the memory. Playing these free shows is something I’m so passionate about.

"There’s something that ties me to this city, and it feels very special," he added. Dermot is also in the middle of his Sinder tour and flew straight to Boston from Berlin for three special pop-up shows in the city.

Dermot also recently landed his dream gig in Colorado's legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and he will perform at the venue on May 16 in front of thousands of adoring fans.
