Following his two sold-out Belfast shows at Ormeau Park in 2021, Dermot Kennedy has today announced a return to the city with a new Belsonic headline show this June.
Last year's Belfast shows were his biggest to date, and the Irish singer-songwriter will be returning for Round 3 on June 23, 2022 .
Dermot Kennedy's latest gig marks the next step in his relentless rise.
The 30-year-old Dubliner is one of Ireland’s biggest recent success stories.
His debut 12-track album Without Fear spent 28 non-consecutive weeks at No1 in the Irish Charts, making it the second biggest-selling debut LP ever in Ireland.
The impassioned album has also sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide to date, making him a platinum-selling artist in over 12 countries.
Notably, his singles, 'Outnumbered’, ‘Power Over Me’ and ‘Giants’ and his collaboration with Meduza on single 'Paradise’, have all been certified Platinum in 2021, with ‘Paradise’ alone having been streamed over 500 million times.
This year is also set to be another significant one for Dermot with new music on the horizon he will be playing a number of huge outdoor dates across Ireland throughout June – including in Belfast – and is also confirmed to support Shawn Mendes on the first leg of his 2022 North American ‘Wonder The World Tour’.
Belfast fans will get a chance to see him live in action on June 23, 2022, at Ormeau Park as part of Belsonic.
