The former referee admits it was so tough on Ross County to concede a penalty deep into first half injury time. Alex Iacovitti and Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers were challenging for a ball in the air when they both missed it and it grazed the forearm of the Dingwall centre back.
Willie Collum missed the incident at the time but was called to the pitchside monitor by VAR Steve Kirkland to review the passage of play and decided to award a spotkick and Jota slammed the penalty down the middle to give Celtic the lead and they went on to close out the game late in the second half thanks to Alexandro Bernabei's terrific strike.

Unfortunately, as the law is written now, arm outstretched like that, which it clearly is, shoulder height, which it clearly is, sent to the monitor there is only going to be one outcome.
