Room To Improve star Dermot Bannon has revealed the latest series “nearly killed him”.
The celebrity architect was quizzed about the lack of episodes in the latest series, which has seen an average over half a million people tuning in every Sunday night on RTE One. Speaking on FM104, Malahide native Dermot revealed the "last four nearly killed" him.
Despite a tough time during filming for the show, Dermot is excited for viewers to see the final episode of the season, with the architect finally fulfilling fans' wishes. He said: "Our last one is a response to the audience."
Dermot said: "I got a lot of tweets after the last series; ‘Can we have something a bit smaller?’, ‘Can we have something a bit more relatable?’”
He admitted that it was his barber, Justin, who ultimately inspired him to give the people what they want. Dermot added: "I said; ‘Justin, what did you think of the last series?’ and he says, ‘Yeah, grand, really good, but I’d like something that’s a little bit more relatable’.”
