Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes said he is fully focused on his job at Rugby Park when asked about the permanent Rangers role today.
Barry Ferguson took interim charge of the Ibrox club until the end of the season on Monday after Philippe Clement's dismissal.
A 2-0 loss at home to St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership over the weekend was the final straw for the Rangers hierarchy, with Ferguson now at the helm.
With the looming takeover from 49ers Enterprises, it remains to be seen who Clement's long-term successor will be.

McInnes, who spent a spell as a player at Ibrox between 1996 and 2000, was today asked about the role: "I am just dealing with the game tomorrow night," he said (Record).
"I have got to make sure I look after Kilmarnock and do what we need to do here.
"From my point of view, we still have so many ambitions and targets for this season - we still want to be a top-six team, and ultimately, that is my only concern at the minute."
Ferguson takes charge of his first game as Rangers boss against McInnes tomorrow evening as his side make the short jaunt down the M77 to face Kilmarnock.
A win is imperative if Ferguson is to get off to the perfect start in his new role.
