Derek McInnes has called on his players to “change the narrative” this weekend.
Kilmarnock head to Pittodrie to battle with Aberdeen as they search for their first league win away from home this season.
And boss McInnes hopes they can take heart from their valiant performance against third-place Hearts on Saturday.
He said: “It’s important that we take that confidence into the Aberdeen game, but we’ve been here before.
“Our home form has been outstanding and the away form has let us down.
“But we are going to change the working week, we’re going to train on grass most of the week and do things a wee bit different.
“I just want my players to be part of the team that changes the narrative.
“Psychologically they should want to be part of the team that gets that all-important win on the road.
“It’s going to be tough. Barry [Robson] has got them playing well. They’ve been strong at home all season.
“It won’t be easy, but after beating third in the league we have got to take that and try and replicate it on the road.”
