Derek Jeter certainly does … and as he revealed to Jimmy Fallon (and the world) on The Tonight Show, he wore it too!
Let’s go back to 2008. Jason Giambi revealed that when he was in a slump, he wore a gold thong under his uniform. The New York tabloids had a field day with it, and Jeter — back then — said he tried it.
I guess everyone forgot. Because on Wednesday, Jeter did a “true confessions” game on Fallon’s show and no one guessed that he wore the thong (with shorts underneath, he’s quick to note) during a slump before hitting a home run in his first at-bat:
