Derek Chisora net worth after banking £2m from Tyson Fury fight

Derek Chisora will increase his net worth to £12million with a £2m payment from the Tyson Fury fight on Saturday evening at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Facing Fury for the third time in his career, Chisora will be aiming to stop the trend of losing to the Gypsy King having suffered defeat in both bouts in 2011 and 2014 - and though the odds are heavily stacked against him, you can never say never in boxing.

A win for Chisora would mark the first loss of Fury's career, and arguably go down as one of the shock results in boxing history, especially with Chisora's age and recent record of three defeats in his last four. But as many have stated, this is a potential for a huge payday for Chisora against the world's undisputed best heavyweight.

The fight set to bank him a cool £2million. That will see Chisora's net worth increase by around 20 per cent.

Chisora has stated that he is excited at sharing a ring with Fury for the third time, and he could even earn up to £5m on the night if the event goes as planned in terms of revenue from pay-per-view and ticket sales. His previous clash with Fury banked him £1m, though that was eight years ago when both boxers weren't at the levels they are now.

Other clashes have seen him earn £1m against Dillian Whyte, and £3.5m for the paydays earned against Joseph Parker where he lost the double-header clash.

Despite the clear underdog status, he has the upmost respect for Fury. "I can't sit here and be more aggressive with Tyson, and he is sitting here and giving me the opportunity," Chisora said.

"He called me up and he said I want to fight you and give you. a big payday. And I replied 'yes let's make it happen'. For me to talk s*** about this man who is giving me food to support my kids I cannot."
