Derek Chisora has ruled out a meeting with Deontay Wilder for his 50th and final professional fight in boxing.
Chisora produced a career-best win in Manchester earlier in the month as he cruised to a unanimous decision victory over Otto Wallin at the Co-Op Live Arena.
However, that was not his swansong on British soil that many tipped it to be.
In fact, after the fight, the 41-year-old asked the crowd who he should fight next and held up cardboard cut outs of Anthony Joshua, Daniel Dubois and Oleksandr Usyk.
Whether Chisora gets his wish remains to be seen, but what's for certain is that he is not interested in stepping into the ring with Wilder.
The former WBC heavyweight champion has not fought since a stoppage loss to Zhilei Zhang last June, but reports have suggested that he poised to confirm a return to the ring soon.
Speaking at the weigh-in for Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol 2 and Joseph Parker vs Martin Bakole which takes in Riyadh on Saturday, Chisora was asked about a potential Wilder match-up.
Despite being told he would be the favourite against Wilder, ‘Del Boy’ explained why he wouldn't take it.
"I don't want an easy fight, I want a hard fight. I want to wake up in the morning and train. When you fight easy fights you don't train, there's no fear factor.
"I want a harder fight, I want to wake up in the morning and train and do what I need to do.
"I don't want to cheat. I want a harder fight."
Following Chisora's comments, promoter Frank Warren teased an announcement: "It will be a big one, we are working on something. We will sit down in the next couple of weeks and we are going to get it over the line. Everyone is going to love it."
