Denzel Dumfries has played down talk of a move this summer by saying he is 'staying at Inter' as things stand.
The Netherlands international has been mooted as a potential right-back target for Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag - along with Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong and Bayern Munich man Benjamin Pavard. The Athletic - prior to last weekend's Champions League final - reported that Dumfries' 'intelligence and athleticism' has been rated highly by United scouts.
But, with two years left on his Inter contract - having signed in the summer of 2021 from PSV - Dumfries is not thinking about leaving the Italian giants.

"When we get back together, despite this defeat, we will be hungry for victory next season. What if I stay at Inter? Yes, at the moment I’m staying at Inter,” Dumfries told FC Inter News after the Champions League final defeat to Manchester City.
Dumfries is claimed to have a £35million price tag and has also been linked with Aston Villa - Unai Emery's men claimed to have shown 'concrete interest' in the player. Inter's financial issues reportedly leave first-team players like Dumfries on the market. Last season, the full-back made 51 appearances in all competitions - scoring twice and assisting four goals.
It will be interesting to see whether United's reported pursuit of a right-back amounts to anything - with Diogo Dalot having signed fresh terms last month and Aaron Wan Bissaka finishing the 2022/23 campaign strongly.
