Dennis Waterman's daughter shares adorable snap of late dad cradling her as a baby

Dennis Waterman 's daughter has shared an emotional snap of him holding her as a baby following his death on Sunday 8 April.

Hannah Waterman, the daughter of the late New Tricks star took to social media to honour her father in the throwback image of the pair after it was announced he had passed away at the age of 74.

The former EastEnders actress, known for playing Ian Beale's wife Laura Beale shared the previously unseen image of the pair together when she was just a baby.

Hannah, 46, captioned the post: "Me and my Dad! Gosh how I loved him. X"

The snap of Hannah and her dad showed a black and white photo of the late actor, wearing a 1970s style roll-neck jumper whilst he cradled his baby daughter.

Hannah also went on to act alongside her dad in a recurring role in New Tricks and the pair were close together.

Fans took to the comments to share their condolences for the soap star's loss.

One fan wrote: "I’m so sorry for your loss, Hannah. My late ex-husband worked with your Dad on Stay Lucky and often talked about the laughs they had x Dennis Waterman was a national treasure xxx."

Another commented: "Very sorry for your loss Hannah, may Dennis RIP. I love watching the Sweeney and Minder time to time and Dennis was brilliant in both. Let's Chelsea win the Cup for him on Saturday."

"I’m so sorry for your loss and my deepest condolences to you. My Dad worked with him four times on stage and screen", a third remembered.

Dennis died with his wife Pam at his sad and he has been mourned by celebrities and fans alike.

Dennis' family released a statement confirming that he had sadly passed away on Sunday.

The statement: "We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved Dennis passed away very peacefully at his home in Spain.

"The family kindly ask that our privacy is respected at this very difficult time."
