The Los Angeles Lakers are already halfway through their exhibition schedule, yet Dennis Schroder hasn’t played in any of their three games.
The reason? He has been stuck overseas because of a visa issue.
However, that issue has been resolved, and he will head to Los Angeles within the next few days, which should allow him to play in at least one of the team’s remaining preseason contests.
Schroder spent the last several weeks participating in EuroBasket 2022. Its knockout stage took place in Berlin, where Schroder led his native Germany to a third-place finish after a very strong showing in the tournament.
Dennis Schroder’s visa issue has been resolved and he is set to fly to Los Angeles this weekend, sources tell ESPN. It is TBD whether he will join the Lakers for their road game in GSW on Sunday.

Schroder’s play in EuroBasket 2022 was a big reason the Lakers signed him. He had played for them during the 2020-21 season.
His ability to handle the ball, facilitate, hit the open man, defend, score and push the pace will help L.A. field a strong bench this season.
