Dennis Rodman opens up on 'unreal' Carmen Electra relationship and time he broke his penis

NBA legend Dennis Rodman has opened up on his sex life which included a fling with Carmen Electra that he described as "unreal".

The five-time NBA champion was a controversial figure throughout his playing career as some of his actions off the court garnered plenty of attention. In his autobiography, titled 'I Should Be Dead By Now', the 62-year-old described some colourful stories from his personal life, including his first date with model Electra that had one thing missing.

“With Carmen it was different. It was nice to be with someone waiting for the right time, right place, right time,” Rodman explained. Revealing the details of one specific date, he added: “We went to eat sushi, we came home, we lay on the bed and we looked at each other and we talked, we talked, we talked. She was there four or five days, sleeping in my house, in my bed, and we never made love. It was something unreal.”

He added: “At that point in my life, I was having sex with so many different women. So many that, at times, it became a job. With Carmen it was different. It was nice to be with someone waiting for the right time, the right place, the right moment."

The pair engaged in a whirlwind romance that even saw them get married in November 1998. But just nine days later, Rodman filed for an annulment claiming he was of "unsound mind" when they tied the knot.

The couple later reconciled but ultimately the relationship did not last as they were divorced by April 1999. Though the former Chicago Bulls star did not engage in any intimacy when he first met Electra, this was something he did regularly for the majority of his basketball career.

In fact, during an interview with Vice TV, the seven-time NBA rebounding champion recalled the time he sustained an injury while sharing an intimate moment on a boat. “It was in Dallas, my girlfriend at the time and I did everything,” he said. “I ran and jumped on her and all of a sudden… Oh, blood everywhere.

"A white girl with blood everywhere. She yelled, ‘Oh my God, he's dead, he's dead! I've killed him!’ I said, ‘No, honey, I just broke my penis.'" Rodman’s storied NBA legacy may be set to continue as his son DJ is expected to transfer from Washington State to the University of Southern California, according to On3.com.

Rodman, a 6-foot-6 forward, enjoyed one of his best seasons at college this past year as he averaged a career-high 9.6 points per game, along with 5.8 rebounds. Last month Bronny James, the son of four-time NBA champion LeBron James, announced his commitment to play college basketball at USC, which could see the sons of two legends play together before entering the NBA.
