Dennis Politic sends message to Bolton Wanderers and Port Vale after sealing Cremonese transfer

Dennis Politic has wished Bolton Wanderers all the best for the future and described his time at the club as an 'absolute pleasure'.

The 21-year-old joined Wanderers aged 15 and came through the youth ranks at the University of Bolton Stadium, making his debut for the club in August 2019.

He played a total of 30 times for Bolton in all competitions, scoring five times.

He has now moved to Italian side Cremonese for an undisclosed fee on an 18-month deal and a sell-on clause has been inserted into the deal.

Politic had been offered a fresh Bolton contract earlier this campaign, but this was turned down and his deal with the club was poised to run out this summer.

And he has now taken to Instagram to wish his now former club well for the future and said his time at the UniBol was an 'absolute pleasure'.

Politic wrote: "After 7 years at the club, my time at BWFC has come to an end. I just wanted to say it’s been an absolute pleasure to play for this great club and I can say I’ve made some amazing memories in a Bolton shirt which I’ll never forget and met some great people along the way.

"I’ve loved this club since the day I walked in through the academy doors and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I always gave everything every time I stepped on the football pitch. I’m sad to leave this amazing club but unfortunately all things have to end at some point, whether we want it or not!

"I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff and players I’ve met along the way from the academy all the way through to the first team and a big thank you to all the medical staff for supporting me through the bad injury I’ve had.

"Last but not least I wanna thank all the fans for their unconditional support and love they have shown me, I’ve really appreciated all the love I’ve received.

"Been an absolute pleasure, I wish everyone all the best. God bless you all."

Politic had recently been on loan at League Two side Port Vale this season and racked up 15 appearances with the Valiants, scoring five times.

But Wanderers recalled Politic from his loan spell at Vale Park after a bid from Cremonese was accepted.

The attacker has also sent a message to the Vale Park side and, like with Wanderers, wished them all the best.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "I would also like to say a big thank you to everyone and Port Vale for being so good to me, all the best."
