Denmark manager Kasper Hjulmand says it is “unfortunate” to lose Manchester United pair Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund for their upcoming games against Slovenia and Northern Ireland.
The duo were injured during United’s 1-0 win over Luton on Saturday and have since pulled out of the squad.
Hojlund left the game near the end of the game with a hamstring injury while Eriksen went off in the first half with a knee issue.
The 20-year-old Hojlund scored two goals in United's 4-3 loss to FC Copenhagen in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Speaking to Tipsbladet, Hjulmand said: “It's unfortunate. It's damn unfortunate. Two good players we won't have in the two matches, but that's how it is.
“My focus is on the players who are here. We have a good group.”
Denmark face Slovenia on Friday and Northern Ireland on Monday.
The Danes are level on 19 points with Slovenia at the top of Group H of Euro qualifying but second based on goal difference.
