The Denmark Euro 2024 squad has been finalised, with the Danes stepping up their preparations ahead of the tournament.
Comprised of 26 players, Denmark's squad contains a blend of experience and youth, with manager Kasper Hjulmand selecting Premier League stars Joachim Andersen, Christian Eriksen, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Mathias Jensen and Rasmus Hojlund alongside the likes of Simon Kjaer, Kasper Schmeichel, Yussuf Poulsen and Thomas Delaney. In fact, it's largely the same team that managed to reach the semi-finals of the last European Championship, meaning there's certainly reason for optimism among the Danish camp ahead of Euro 2024.
Surprise European champions back in 1992, Denmark enjoyed their best run at the tournament since then last time around at Euro 2020 as they reached the semi-finals. Not many expected such a performance then, and not many expect the Denmark Euro 2024 squad to reach that stage now. That doesn't mean they won't, though, with an experienced and talented side set to do the business.
Manager Kasper Hjulmand has proven his worth on the big stage, too, with recent friendly victories against Faroe Islands and Switzerland without conceding a goal highlighting their quality.
There are some strong Euro 2024 groups, however, and Denmark have found themselves against tough opposition in Group C. With Slovenia, Serbia and England to play, their fixtures aren't exactly welcoming, but that has never stopped this resillient side before.
As with every squad at the tournament, FourFourTwo will bring you all the latest on Denmark and how to watch every game as we report live from the European Championship.

Denmark formation and predicted XI
Looking at previous games Denmark have played under Kasper Hjulmand, it seems as if they'll play a 3-5-2 formation, with wing-backs Joakim Maehle and Victor Kristiansen tasked with galloping up and down the line for a full 90 minutes. The defence is strong, while the midfield posseses plenty of grit and quality - with Andreas Christensen expected to start here rather than in defence.

Denmark manager: Kasper Hjulmand
His surname meaning 'wheelman', nominative determinism's Kasper Hjulmand showed fine leadership at Euro 2020. Since delivering a first title for Nordsjaelland, famous for their academy, he has promoted skilled youngsters such as Rasmus Hojlund, but Denmark's World Cup hangover - two defeats, one draw, one goal-could be difficult to cure.
Denmark's star player
Christian Eriksen
Christian Eriksen is still Denmark's most imaginative player. Likely to have overtaken Peter Schmeichel as the second-most-capped Dane by tournament kick-off, the gifted midfielder has also scored nearly as many goals as the rest of the squad combined. The 32-year-old's club form is poor, though - might Denmark fare better without him?
What they hope will happen
As the only Scandinavian team going to Germany, the Danes would love to make their neighbours really jealous by reaching another Euros showpiece.
What will happen
The absent Scandis will snigger as the Danes get dumped out in the last 16.
