Deniz Turuc has warned Hearts that Istanbul Basaksehir have no intention of surrendering top spot in their Europa Conference League section.
Hearts can no longer progress in the competition but Basaksehir and Fiorentina, who are only separated by goal difference going into Thursday’s final games, still have designs on winning Group A.
Fiorentina, who face bottom side RFS this week, overcame Istanbul in Italy last week to set up a tense finish.
As well as pride, a £433,000 UEFA win bonus will be at stake when Hearts travel to Turkey but midfielder Turuc insists Emre Belozoglu’s team have no intention of slipping up.
Turuc said: “The Fiorentina game didn't go as we wanted, but we are still first in the group and we will do everything to remain there this week.
“We went here to Italy to win but we cannot forget that Fiorentina are a great team.
“We should have closed the game after taking the lead at the start of the match, but unfortunately we didn't succeed."
