Loose Women star Denise Welch has spoken out since the news of her son Matty Healy and singer Taylor Swift have split.
Denise, who shares her musician son with actor Tim Healy, showed support for her son's band The 1975 and retweeted an upcoming live stream.
The band are due to play at Best Kept Secret festival in the Netherlands this weekend, just days after news broke that Matty and Taylor's relationship had ended. The couple had been pictured together with rumours confirming they were dating just weeks ago.
However the couple were thought to have gone their separate ways after realising they were "not really compatible with each other".
Whilst Matty has been pictured drinking alcohol on stage and seeming emotional just hours after news of the split was announced, mum Denise had kept silent.
The actress, who also appears on ITV's Loose Women regularly, hasn't publicly commented on her son's heartbreak but did take to her Twitter account to show her support.
The star retweeted a message about his livestream to her 556,700 followers as a pledge of motherly support.
The performance at Netherlands festival Best Kept Secret comes after an emotional Matty was seen performing a song about unrequited love as the band's closing number in Vienna. It's the first time The 1975 have ended their set with a tragic love song.
Speaking about the meaning behind the lyrics previously, Matty told BBC 1 Radio that the song is about the times he shared with a girl.
He said: "I loved her but she didn't feel the same way. I don't even think she knew I loved her. As she and I became close friends, we had traditions. We'd somehow always coincidentally be out at exactly 1:02AM, so that was our thing.
"Now whenever I'm awake at 1:02AM, I think of her and I let her go."
The pointed lyrics of the song could well have been directed at Taylor with the couple reportedly splitting due to incompatibility.
A source told ET Online : "Taylor and Matty broke up. They are both extremely busy and realised they're not really compatible with each other.
"Taylor's friends want what's best for her and aren't shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship."
Rumours that Matty and Taylor were together emerged earlier this year after Taylor broke off her long term relationship with actor Joe Alwyn. The pair had dated for six years but split in February.
