Denise Van Outen has opened up on the worst part of split from her ex-fiancé Eddie Boxshall.
The Celebrity Gogglebox star announced her shock split from her Eddie several weeks ago after the pair spent seven years together.
The 47-year-old has spilled several claims about Eddie since their split, including multiple infidelities on his part.
Back in January, it was alleged that Eddie had been engaging in phone calls with other women.
Denise has now shared her heartbreak months on from the split as she said the worst part of it all was telling her 12-year-old daughter that her relationship with Eddie was over for good.
The TV star shares Betsy, 12, with her former flame and Holby City star Lee Mead, 40.
Having to tell Betsy that it was all over 'tore' Denise apart as she explained that her daughter burst into tears upon hearing the sad news.
"It tore me apart watching her cry while I tried to make her understand," Denise recently told OK! Magazine.
"I've got too much self respect and I just can't live that that. I felt like, in a few selfish moments, he'd ruined it.
"I couldn't imagine it ever feeling the same."
It comes after Denise said she had 'too much self respect' to stay with her ex-fiancé Eddie after she discovered he had been messaging other woman in January.
The presenter said she was 'heartbroken' after finding out Eddie, 49, had messages and pictures from other women on his iPad last November.
Denise said she felt they couldn't salvage their relationship following the betrayal.
"I’ve got too much self-respect and I just can’t live like that, I felt like, in a few selfish moments, he’d ruined it. I couldn’t imagine it ever feeling the same," she told OK! Magazine.
"I believe everything happens for a reason, so I don’t really have any regrets at all, it just shapes you for the next part of your life.
"If anything, I wish I’d known how to get myself out of heartbreak a little bit more, it’s a horrible thing to be stuck in it, and I think when I was younger I didn’t do the right things."
Denise and Eddie started dating back in 2014 and soon went on to become a power couple, appearing on Gogglebox a number times, and fast-becoming a huge hit with viewers of the Channel 4 reality programme.
It was on January 7, 2022 that the news of the couple's split broke, with Denise confirming the break up on social media.
