Denise Van Outen 's ex-fiancé Eddie Boxshall looks completely unrecognisable as he sports white hair and wrinkles in a photo posted on Instagram
Eddie, 49, had aged a few decades in the amusing selfie, with the businessman looking so dramatically different followers thought he was his father.
Using the ageing filter to make himself look significantly older, he captioned the post: "Pensioner Boxshall #lookingforwardtogettingold".
However, his fans didn't hold back when it came to the comments as many said how much older he looked.
One person said: "I thought this was maybe a pic of your dad! Handsome old fella".
As another wrote: "Loving the silver fox Eddie," and a third joked: "You look different Botox? Are you going on 10 years younger?".
A fourth fan said: "Thought it was captain bird's-eye before I put my specs on."
Eddie's entertaining post comes after Denise went public with her new romance with property developer Jimmy Barba.
"It's early days but everything is going really well and Denise is happy," a source close to the new couple told the Daily Mail when discussing their blossoming relationship.
And Eddie appeared to make a dig at Denise after she showed off her new boyfriend to the world.
Eddie took to Instagram to share a story that had a voiceover that said it was better to be 'alone' than to be with someone who makes you feel that way.
It said: "You deserve someone who can't wait to talk to you, spend time with you, get to know you, fall in love with you.
"Please stop settling for half-hearted, lukewarm, hesitant and indecisive. It is so much better to be alone than to be with someone who makes you feel alone."
The couple split in January after a seven year relationship together.
The pair were set to be married until he had allegedly been messaging other women behind Denise's back.
Denise spoke to Fearne Cotton on the "Happy Place" podcast released on June 6 where she recalled the difficult decision she had to make.
She said it was hard being honest with her daughter Betsy, 11, who she had with Lee Mead in her previous marriage.
Denise said: "It is hard but even with my most recent break-up I thought I need to be honest with her because she is coming up to 12 and kids have phones now and they go to school where they can read things, hear things, so I did have to be completely honest with her.
"And actually I wanted to be honest with her. I think it's important with kids to have that honesty. But what is really great is, even though all of it, she has got that solid foundation, she's got her dad.
"She has always got that constant in her life so actually it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be – it's still horrible. It's still heartbreaking to talk to your child about that but, at the same time, she has got an amazing father."
