Denise Van Outen finishes autobiography rewrites after split from Eddie Boxshall

Denise Van Outen has finished her autobiography, after being forced to rewrite her book following her shock split from her long-term partner Eddie Boxshall.

The 47-year-old actress and TV star first began dating the Essex-born commodities trader in 2014, but she announced they had parted ways in a surprise post on social media in January this year.

Denise had reportedly discovered Eddie had been sending messages to other women during their seven-year relationship, and told him to pack his bags as she kicked him out of their home in Chelmsford.

Now fans will be wondering whether Denise will lift the lid on her break-up in her new autobiography, out on March 17.

Denise Van Outen posted a video on Instagram of her signing copies of her new autobiography (mirror.co.uk)

In a post on Instagram, the entertainer wrote: "Got there in the end! After a few rewrites (for obvious reasons) my autobiography is ready to pre-order."

She went on to thank her publishing house and author Terry Ronald for their patience, adding: "You are a brilliant team and have been incredibly supportive."

Denise, who appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox with Eddie, posted a snap of her smiling and dressed in pink, sitting on a white sofa, to accompany the post. She also shared a video of her signing the books, and numerous copies stacked neatly on a table.

It was revealed last month that Denise has landed a role in an upcoming movie alongside comedy icon Jennifer Saunders and award-winning musician Ed Sheeran.

She will play a nurse in the comedy drama Sumotherhood, which is directed by Adam Deacon, who also helmed Anuvahood in 2011.

The role will be a huge boost to her acting career, and the former Big Breakfast host will be appearing in the movie alongside comedian Peter Serafinowicz, Misfits actor Danny Sapani, model Leomie Anderson, Kevin Bishop, London Hughes and Jaime Winstone, who was unveiled as a contestant on this year’s The Masked Singer.

The West End musical star is also set to be a judge on The Masked Singer's UK arena tour, along with JLS member Aston Merrygold.

Denise wowed in the first series of the ITV guessing game as Fox, impressing with her singing voice as she made it all the way to the semi-final.

Eddie had been Denise's first boyfriend since her split from actor Lee Mead, who is the father of her daughter Betsy, in 2013.

Friends had described Eddie as 'charming, genuine and a really lovely guy' with Denise seemingly falling head over heels.

Their banter and dynamic on Celebrity Gogglebox delighted viewers, but in January Denise released a statement, confirming the pair have split.

"It saddens me to confirm that we are no longer a couple. I had to make the difficult decision not to continue our relationship," she wrote.

Last month, Eddie said he had lost a stone since the split, blaming the stress of the break-up.

He said the "stress and anxiety" of being dumped left him feeling "sluggish".
