Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk is leading the charge in mocking Democrats for their coordinated response regarding the party's stance on government funding.
Musk responded on his social media platform, X, to a post showing nine identical publications by different Democratic lawmakers. The message says that "House Democrats stand united for a four-week funding extension that stops harmful cuts, keeps government open, and allows Congress to reach a bipartisan funding agreement. I am ready to vote today, tomorrow or Friday to pass a four-week extension."
That’s all we’re asking. Can they please try harder with their propaganda! https://t.co/62FFSfis7i

"That's all we're asking. Can they please try harder with their propaganda!," Musk said, echoing a publication saying "I am begging the left to discover the thesaurus."
Several users echoed the message, mocking the coordinated response.

Senate Democrats have anticipated they are not willing to support the six-month government funding passed by the GOP-controlled House earlier this week unless they get a vote on the 30-day bill.
"Republicans chose a partisan path, drafting their continuing resolution without any input, any input from congressional Democrats. Because of that, Republicans do not have the votes in the Senate to invoke cloture on the House CR [continuing resolution]," said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer .
"Our caucus is unified on a clean April 11 CR that will keep the government open and give Congress time to negotiate bipartisan legislation that can pass. We should vote on that. I hope, I hope our Republican colleagues will join us to avoid a shutdown on Friday," Schumer added.
However, The Hill reported that Senate Democrats are privately saying they will not allow a shutdown on Saturday, with Schumer giving centrists room to vote along with Republicans if it's the only way to prevent that outcome.
