The official platform of the Democrat Party was released on Saturday, containing multiple references to a potential 'second Biden term,' even though President Joe Biden withdrew from the race a month ago.
On Monday night, the Party is set to vote on the platform, which includes 19 mentions of a second Biden term.
The 92-page document states, 'President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Democrats are running to finish the job.'
Another section of the document outlines plans for President Biden's hypothetical second term, including the selection of judges who will protect fundamental rights and represent the diversity of the American experience.
Furthermore, the platform mentions that in a second term, President Biden would continue to support access to FDA-approved medication abortion.
About a month ago, President Biden exited the race after facing pressure from Democratic lawmakers and leaders who cited concerns about his age and cognitive decline. Despite initially insisting he was 'in it to win it,' Biden eventually announced his withdrawal on the social media platform X and endorsed Harris to lead the Democratic ticket.
