Demi Moore hit out at an audience member while introducing Cher at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala, in Cap d'Antibes, France, on Thursday.
The actress, 61, was in the middle of paying a tribute to the music icon, 78, on stage on May 23, when she was seemingly distracted by someone in the crowd.
Her honouring of Cher started off conventionally enough, beginning with: "I'm going to see if this is the moment we've all been waiting for. I'm just making sure that you're really, really with me.
“Because this incredible woman that I'm about to introduce - she's a Grammy winner, an Oscar winner, an Emmy winner."

But then things went off course when she suddenly paused, looked out into the audience and snapped: "Are you an Emmy winner over there in the back of the room? I f*****g don't think so.”
After the outburst, Moore gave no explanation and simply went back to the gushing tribute. "She's a style icon and my personal hair inspiration,” she continued. “And she was honoured by amfAR for their award of inspiration in 2015.
"The bottom line is she is just one of the most talented, successful, and best-loved performers of all time.
"So please,' she said, before taking another notably long pause, as she stared out over the crowd, before continuing, 'please give a warm welcome to the incredible, one and only, Cher."
The video was posted by Ramin Setoodeh on X, who said the scolding, which may have been Moore's reaction to an audience member speaking during the tribute, garnered a mixed reaction of cheers, gasps and silence from onlookers.
Before the incident, it was all smiles as Moore and Cher hit the red carpet together for the first time in nearly 30 years since they starred in the 1996 HBO series If These Walls Could Talk.
The longtime pals posed for a string of snaps, including one where they embraced each other, with Moore leaning in for a kiss as Cher leaned in to meet her.
Cher, who attended with her boyfriend Alexander Edwards, 38, proudly hosted the annual gala, which was to help raise funds for HIV/AIDS research, which was first spearheaded by Elizabeth Taylor in 1993.
The Believe singer also performed in a black sparkling bodysuit and black leather jacket at the star studded event, which was also attended by model Heidi Klum.
