Singer Scout LaRue Willis has a new single out, Woman At Best, and actress mum Demi Moore could not be any prouder of her efforts.
Demi has described her daughter’s new tune as “magical and powerful” and was quick to laud her work on social media. She even shared clips of Scout’s new music video.
Demi wrote: “@scoutlaruewillis new song Woman At Best is out now! This one is so magical and powerful, a proud mama over here.”
Scout, 30, is the second daughter of Demi and Bruce Willis, who were married for 13 years before divorcing in 2000. They also have two other children, 33-year-old Rumer and Tallulah, who is 28.
In the video for Scout’s single, she’s seen dressed in a crop-top and dark trousers singing and writhing on the floor, and there’s another clip of her crawling on a bookshelf in a sweater and underwear, as well as a scene or two of her going crazy on a bed.
Scout, who released her first single Love Without Possession last year, explained on social media, the meaning behind the tune and video: “The song is an ode to feminine creativity, sexuality and freedom, to the idea that I can be all of it without hiding or withholding any piece of myself. I wrote this song with a near prescient clarity, precisely describing the arc of a relationship I wouldn’t enter till months after it was written.”
Followers who tuned into the clips, though, seemed to be more interested in how similar Scout looks to her 59-year-old mum. The long, silky black hair is a common theme between the pair.
“I thought it was you for a sec,” one fan wrote, with another adding: “Damn, I’m little confused... is it you or your daughter?”
A third commented: “I thought this was you at first. I’m like, sis just continues to age backwards.”
Scout did have fans praising her new work, though, with one saying: “This is her daughter! She is just beautiful and talented like her mommy.”
This is not the first time Ghost and Indecent Proposal star Demi, who has also been married to musician Freddy Moore and actor Ashton Kutcher, has supported her daughter’s work, having previously aired her thoughts and views on her previous single, Shouldn’t I Be. She said at the time: “This one is so special and brave… and I can’t wait for you all to hear.”
