On Tuesday night, the Chicago Bulls lost an ugly one. They took on the Detroit Pistons, one of the worst teams in the NBA and the owners of the longest losing streak in league history. Chicago shot just 2-of-29 from behind the three-point line and ended up losing the game, their second loss to the Pistons this season.
Luckily for the Bulls, they got a chance to bounce back right away, as they took on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night on the second night of a back-to-back. The second-seeded Cavaliers came to play, but the Bulls came to fight.
They pulled out a victory in double overtime, and after the game, DeMar DeRozan revealed that everyone came into the game still angry over the loss to Detroit. (H/t Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times)
“No disrespect to Detroit, but that’s a game we should have won,” DeRozan said. “I know I was [ticked] off. I was up till 6 o’clock this morning just [ticked] off about losing. Just eager to get back out there, and everybody showed it.”
DeRozan ended the game with 35 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists while shooting 8-of-26 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the three-point arc.
