An Ayr schoolgirl has vowed to scale new heights after soaring into the finals of a UK beauty pageant.
All roads lead to Blackpool for Ava Morgan who is hoping to be crowned queen of the teens at the grand final of Miss Teen GB.
The 17-year-old old will enter the October showdown as Miss Teen Ayrshire and she is determined to do the region proud.
Ava told Ayrshire Live: “I’m absolutely delighted to be given the opportunity to compete at the Miss Teen GB Final.
“When they phoned me I was in shock, I couldn’t believe it. They told me congratulations your now Miss Teen Ayrshire.
“It’s incredible honour and I just want to do Ayrshire proud.”
Before she takes to the glitzy stage, she’s promised to put her best food forward to help families who have been given a devastating fate.
The sixth year pupil will climb Goatfell on the Isle of Arran for vital charity Together for Short Lives next month.
The charity support children and their families who are terminally ill and work alongside UK Hospices to ensure they can make memories and have the best end of life care.
Ava has set her sights on conquering the whole 2,867ft to coin it in for the charity.
Ava previously pledged her support to raising awareness of breast cancer after watching her mum and cousin battle the disease.
Now she wants to help another cause and is focused on Together for Short Lives setting a fundraising goal of £500.
Ava told Ayrshire Live: “I always wanted to use this platform for others and when I came across Together for Short Lives I just really wanted to help them.
“They do so much good work for children who are terminally ill and their families.
“I’m going to climb Goatfell but I’ve already done a raffle on Instagram and I managed to raise £200 towards it.
“I hope people can help me in any way they can to support this amazing charity.”
