New Delhi: The Yamuna crossed the warning mark of 204.5 metres in Delhi as Haryana released more water into the river from the Hathnikund barrage amid persistent rains in the upper catchment areas.
As per a government bulletin, the water level at the Old Railway Bridge increased to 204.63 metres at 1 pm on Monday.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the warning level of water in Yamuna in Delhi is 204.50 metres while the danger mark is 205.33 metres.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Monday that evacuation of people in low-lying areas around Yamuna would start as soon as river breaches the 206 metre mark. Kejriwal was addressing a press conference
The CM said a flood-like condition is unlikely in Delhi but we are ready to face any situation. He further said that city's drainage systems were not designed to tackle such massive rain.
