NEW DELHI: A 27-year-old man was arrested from CR Park for allegedly carrying drugs worth Rs 60 lakh, police said on Sunday.
The accused has been identified as Sarfaraz Ahmad. Police said a team from CR Park Police Station was patrolling when they saw a man inside a car at the Mela ground on Vipin Chandra Pal Marg.
“The policemen signalled him to come out for checking, but he tried to flee. He was stopped with police vehicles and searched,” an officer said.
He was carrying one transparent plastic pouch that contained narcotics.
