Delhi Elections: AAP accuses BJP of spreading misinformation, files complaint with Election Commission

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has approached the Election Commission of India and accused the BJP of spreading misinformation and violating the Model Code of Conduct.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, AAP, in a letter, alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) shared a false video on internet, showing water-filled road of Faridabad as the road of the National capital.

Complaint letter
"The party (BJP) has been spreading misinformation through a false video on their social media channels, showcasing roads in Delhi in a deplorable condition. However, it has been exposed that the road featured in the video is actually located in Faridabad, Haryana," the complaint letter read. 

AAP also shared screenshots of tweets posted from the BJP's Delhi account, where the abovesaid videos were shared.

AAP seeks action 
The party has urged the Election Commission of India to take strict action against the BJP.

Delhi will go to polls on Feb 5 while the outcome of the polls to be announced on Feb 8. (With Agency Inputs)
