Alli was taken off to a chorus of boos when Besiktas had fallen two goals behind, with the Turkish giants managing to fight back to win the cup match 4-2 without the former Tottenham star.

The message drew responses from a number of Alli's fellow professionals, including Everton team-mate Alex Iwobi who replied with a praying hands emoji.
