Dele Alli pictured with possible Everton shirt number after deadline day move

New Everton signing Dele Alli was snapped holding up a home shirt with his name and the number 36 on the back.

Alli joined from Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day as Frank Lampard's first permanent transfer as Toffees boss.

The 25-year-old has yet to be assigned a squad number for Everton.

But after a Toffees fan account tweeted a picture of the England international holding up a shirt, signed by the player himself, which had the number 36 on it, it has led to supporters speculating as to whether this will be the number he wears while at the club.

Alli wore the number 20 while at Spurs, having worn 14 with with his first club MK Dons.

Andros Townsend currently dons the number 14 at Goodison Park while Cenk Tosun wears 20.

Alli will not feature for Everton in the FA Cup on Saturday against Brentford having featured in the competition for his previous club Spurs.

He will be available for the Premier League fixture against Newcastle United on Tuesday in what could be a defining fixture in the battle against relegation.
